Practicing apature priority

So I am taking a class on how to use my Camera. Its called better pictures a week or something along those lines. I am a few weeks behind so this week I will have to play catchup. The first week is to use Apature Priority and play with your F-stop. I am supposed to take them outside but as I was reading my book it said that the illumination of the snow could not cut down the light to get the look I needed. So I turned up my ISO to 1600 and turned it indoors. So you get some boring pictures of things that were in my bat
hroom so that I could play around with this setting. I am excited to try it out once I get around something that would not be so bright.

What I learned was that the lower f-stop the more things are out of focused, middle slightly blurry and high everything is crisp. I think that when I get back to Hawaii I am going to ask to take pictures of Sam and Ana-lynn. I have a fun idea that I want to try with Baby Ana's feet. Focus in her toes and blur the rest of her.

So here are my pictures from high f-stop to low. It took a few pictures (like 30) but here they are.

Overall I think that they turned out neat. The 3 elements you can really tell how blurry stuff is and is not.

POTD Day 4

 Skirt for church: Check
Sweater for wearing to Church: Check
Dress Shoes..... Dress Shoes...... Darn those are all in the closet in Hawaii. That was my thought early saturday morning. When I was no longer in Hawaii. So it was a trip to the PX, now I really like these shoes, and I had brought a skirt that would not go with them overly well. But I had stuff at home that I knew would. Plus I needed brown highheels, so I bought them. It also has another attribute I thought I would never use. I pointy toe, well they look good on my feet and are comfortable. So pointy brown shoes are now mine :).

Hmm maybe I should find a skirt to go with them, oh shopping trip.

POTD Day 3

Look at my spiffy new home for the next two months. I had some issues getting her but they all worked out and now I have a new home!! Best part that it is in the new billiting instead of the old stuff I was in last year. Off to meet some Soldiers from company to go to the PX.

POTD Day 2

Today I started out having to go on post so that I could pick up my thyroid medicine. I farted around the house a little. When I went to take out the trash I fell on my slick stairs and now I have a lovely bruise on my butt. SSG Nelson picked me up at took me to the airport. I flew from HNL to LAX to Chicago to STL. What a long flight, I left Hawaii at 1400 and made it to St. Louis and 9:45 the next day!!! This is a picture of my first flight/airplane.

Resolutions

So I have a few things up my sleeves that I would like to get done this year:
1. Take a picture a day every day this year. THis will help me learn our new camera along with a really cool project.
2. Try to scrapbook once a week. I will be kinda bored this year so that sounds fun.
3. Get out once a week and do something. With Jeremy gone I will not have a supper huge amount of interaction outside work, I will look in the local paper and try to find intersting things to do.
4. Attended church more often. I have been invited to a new ward that I seem to click better with at church so I think this will be a lot easier to keep. Also they are latter in the afternoon.
5.  Keep up with all of my Big Picture classes. The are so much fun and I learn new techniques all the time.
6.  Take all my classes so that I get all of my prerequisits done so maybe I can start my nursing classes sometime soon.

Everyone have a happy new year, may it be a prosperous year for you all.

POTD DAY 1

So today I went to visit my friends the Player's brand new baby girl at the big pink palace (Tripler). She was so cute, they named her Analynn Player, she was 8 LBS 4.9 OZ AND 18.25 IN. She has a full head of hair!!!. Her big brother Sam just loves her and was loving on her. In fact when I was holding her he wanted to hold her to. After I got my baby fix he got to hold his little sister with some help from grandma. So I though I would ring in the new year with photos of a new birth.
